We’re NOT in Catford

and we’re pretty old!

First, despite our name, we are not based in Catford. The name is historical—our club actually centres around the Bromley, Orpington, and Sevenoaks areas. We’re also one of the oldest cycling clubs in the world, founded in 1886, so we’re certainly not here today and gone tomorrow!

We proudly run the oldest continuously-held cycle race in the world: the Catford Hill Climb Classic, held every October on Yorks Hill in Sevenoaks. Click through the following screens to see highlights from this year’s 129th edition.

Beyond the Hill Climb, we organise a wide range of events—both competitive and social—so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for relaxed weekend social rides or keen to take part in competitive racing, you’ll find your niche with us. On the right, you’ll see just a few of the fantastic events we run each year.

We’re a group of long-time, enthusiastic cyclists—many with years of experience, but open and welcoming to all. Whatever your age or fitness level, you’re warmly invited to join us. There’s no obligation, just the chance to enjoy good company and a great ride. We meet regularly on Saturdays and Sundays, usually setting off from Farnborough near the Princess Royal Hospital.
